This 31Mar2010 Bravo Company, 23rdMar said farewell to Major Clint ROBINS USMC as he
retired to join the Bossier Parrish Sheriff's office starting Monday morning. Our community is gaining a real asset
and the local veteran organizations were on hand to wish him and his family well and to thank him for the service to his Marine
Corps and our country. At the same time we had an opportunity to welcome Major Chris MCQUIRE USMC and his wife
Marlena and their youngest son to the area. LCol William S. LUCAS, Inspector-Instructor 23rd Marines, Houston, TX was
here to give Clint a good send off. He was accompanied by his new SgtMaj PETERSEN and his Staff. LCol Mike Thornton
USMC (Ret) presented a plaque from the Red River Detachment of the Marine Corps League for his contribution to the Shreveport/Bossier
Community. Also in addendance was Col Ted Cox USA (RET) Juvenille Judge, Shreveport, Major Ken Bourgeois USMC (Ret),
MOPH and Marine Corps League, John Hebert, Bill Braidwood, MCL. Ken Koval, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Major Carroll Michoud,
American Legion Post 14, Bob Peatrus, VSO, State of Louisana, Veterans Affairs and retired Navy. Clint's Mom, Dad, Wife and
the rest of his family were in attendance. John Prine, Military Reporter for the Shreveport Times blessed us with his
appearance along with several other members of the press. We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with
the Robins in the future.
