Marine Corps 233rd Birthday and Vet Day Celebration

THE PICTURES IN THE BELOW SLIDE SHOW PRESENTATION WERE TAKEN ON THE MARINE CORPS 233RD BIRTHDAY AND VETERAN DAY CELEBRATION AT THE OVERTON BROOKS VA HOSPITAL.  THE SERVICE WAS PERFORMED BY MEMBER OF THE I-I STAFF AND MEMBER OF THE MARINE CORPS RESERVE UNIT IN BOSSIER CITY.  LCOL MIKE THORNTON, COMMANDANT FLOYD L. BAXTER RED RIVER DETACHMENT GAVE A ROUSING PRESENTATION FOLLOWED BY 1STSGT CEDRIC DONALD USMC THE MAJOR CLINTON ROBINS CUTTING THE CAKE.  THE FIRST PIECE WENT TO MAJOR KEN BOURGEOIS USMC (RET) THE OLDEST MARINE PRESENT WHO PASSED THE CAKE TO THE YOUNGEST MARINE LCPL REECE FLATHERY FROM TEXAS.  MAJOR ROBINS CUT THE CAKE AND IT WAS PASSED OUT TO THE VETERANS IN THE LOBBY AND THEN A GROUP OF MARINES DELIVERED CAKE TO THE WARD PATIENTS AFTER CHECKING WITH THE NURSES STATION TO SEE IF THEY COULD HAVE IT.  GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.
