Patriots,

I received information from Senator Dale Erdey concerning Homestead Exemption for the spouse of 100% disableded veterans. Our Legislative body is placing the following "Proposed Constitutional Amendment" for Consideration on Nov. 6, 2012. it reads:

Homestead Exemption: Do you support an amendment to exempt from ad valorem taxation, in addition to the homestead exemption, the next seventy-five thousand dollars of value of property owned and occupied by the spouse of a deceased veteran with a service-connected disablity rating of one hundred percent who passed away prior to the enactment of the exemption? Yes /NO.

This bill was sign into law recently but now it is time to take away benefits that we have fought far. You know that upon our deaths our spouse income will be cut and this is one area that would assure them some relief. It is time to contact your Representativeve and Senator and raise hell. I have contacted mine, I thought you should know. Remember politicians always kick the vet and their families to the curb after we have fought their wars.
