On Sunday, August 9, 2009, members of Northshore Chapter 741 attended a Purple Heart Service at the
Midway Baptist Church in Bedico, Louisiana. Paster Jimmy Wall preached an inspiring message. The Church members made
us feel that we were truly welcome. We sang Happy Birthday to Fay Ciresi who would have been 68 year young today. After
the service, Mrs. Wall pulled the winning ticket for our Purple Heart Lap Quilt. The winner was Carolyn Young of Lake Charles
Unit 1996. Congratulation Carolyn !! We also thank Carolyn Maier and Ramona Bovia for their donation of this labor of
love.
