Covington, La. – On Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:00 AM, members of Robert H. Burns American Legion Post 16 visited the Elmer E. Lyon Elementary School on their “Spirit Day”.  Post 16 donated a new flag for their outside flag pole.  Faculty member Dr. Jim Roth played the bugle and assisted the students in raising the flag to full staff.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and a very nice “Spirit Day” program was performed by the students.
